My thanks to Midland Counties Championship show for giving me the opportunity to judge such a fabulous entry. Also to the two ladies who stewarded for me and kept the classes moving so well which enabled me to finish by 12.15pm, as there was a second breed in the ring after me.

 

 This was a quality entry and in many classes I had several dogs and bitches who could change places on another day. Nearly all the exhibits were presented immaculately with just a few having dirt between their nose and face which could have been cleaned beforehand. After all it is in the dog’s best  interest to be presented in immaculate condition.

 

Minor Puppy dog  4 (1abs)

1st.Mr. S. & Mr. J. & Mrs. A. Rooney & Green  JASCHIN HOLD THAT THOUGHT

Delightful, elegant B/W pup of 7 months, just the correct size for his age. Lovely head shape with a moderately broad skull showing a small amount of white in the corners of his eyes giving the required look of astonishment. Square in shape and with slender, hare feet. He had a level topline, which he held on the move at all times. He was a confident mover with sound movement both front and back. A most promising prospect for the future. Best Puppy in breed.

2nd. Mrs. C.M. Oakridge  DALEHOUSE QUINTESSENTIAL

A similar size pup with many of the similar attributes. A nicely marked coat, pleasing head and broad skull. Sound movement and good turn of stifle.

1st Ms. J. Thomas  THREADGOLD DAN DARE

An attractive B/W dog of the correct size with a wealth of coat and appears square and cobby in body. Ample neck, level topline and good turn of stifle. He still needs to develop more in chest. He has straight legs with strong fine bone. His profuse coat was of a silky texture. His rear movement, on the day, could have been better.

2nd Mrs. S. & Mr. A. Leach & Davidson  MARYSTYLE ORION

An attractive sable dog who certainly fit the standard for temperament, he had a gay, happy and good natured temperament. He also had a profuse silky textured coat. In a slightly larger mould than the first but held a level topline on the move. His movement was sound.

Post Graduate  Dog  5 (2abs)

1st Mr. G.W. Farmer  SALVADOR DALI BY SANGRIA

Two extremely appealing dogs headed this class. The hind movement of the first won him the class and the Reserve C.C. This B/W boy was in pristine coat and condition, long soft coat of silky texture. He is a super size, square in outline and held a level topline as he moved so well around the ring. He was at one with his owner. He has a moderately large skull, large nose with wide open nostrils, his wide muzzle is short and well cushioned. He has the correct amount of white in the inner corners of his eyes giving the characteristic look of astonishment. His presentation was first class.  Reserve CC.

2nd Mrs. L.A. Flynn  SHARLARNA EVOLUTION AT LINJATO

Attractive, well marked dog of the correct size. Moving around the ring he gave the appearance of an elegant dog, compact with a profuse coat which was long, straight and of a silky texture. His body is square and with a level topline. His tail is set on high and plumed over his back. He had long feathering at the back of his thighs and a good turn of stifle.

1st Miss. P. Martin  SHARLANA TROUBLE MAKER

B/W dog presented in immaculate condition. A stylish mover, so sound front and back. He had a moderately broad skull rounded in front and between his small ears. His large nose had wide open nostrils. A square body with a wide chest and the correct size. This dog was in excellent coat, plenty of profuse feathering to his tail which was set high upon his level back. He had slender hare feet and a good turn of stifle.

A well deserved CC.

2nd Mrs. C. & Mrs. S. Reeves-Sargant & Diment  ALSTELLA TOFFEE SUNDAE

A sable & white dog built on the correct lines and size. He is of square construction with a level  topline, hare feet and has good width of chest. A very pretty head with lovely eyes.

Red & White, lightly marked boy who has already made his mark in the breed.

Such a smart mover. He had plenty of the correct texture coat, plumed tail and hare feet. Movement was sound’

2nd Mr. S. & Mr. J.& Mrs. A. Rooney & Green & Green  LITTLETIGERS INNUENDO WITH JASCHIN (Imp Ita)

A pleasing type of Japanese Chin, short in back and square in body. Very attractive head and wide in chest. He moved well around the ring.

Veteran Dog 3 (0abs)

1st Ms.T & Ms. S. Pearce & Hann Ch. RAKUCHIN KENJI NA

A slightly bigger dog who was a little unsettled today in the ring. So unlike this dog as I have seen him in the past move so well many times.

He is a beautifully marked, square dog with an excellent width of chest, hare feet and a lovely head.

2nd Miss. J.L. McFarlane  MYOJO MORGAN AT GLENDYKE  ShCM  VW.

A smaller, chunkier type of dog, quite heavy boned. He moved soundly round the ring keeping pace with his handler.

Special Beginners Dog  1 (0abs)

1st Miss. S. Harbron  JASCHIN STOP AND PAWS

A happy, lively little dog, and of the correct size,  with a fairly large skull, rounded in front. Well marked coat coming into bloom. Level topline and tail well plumed over the back. His body is square and his chest wide. He has a good turn of stifle and slender hare feet.

1st Miss. L. Lindsay.  JASCHIN WHO’D HAVE THOUGHT AT ANJULI

A gorgeous sable & white pup who was character personified. She was so full of life and moved well. She is short and compact in body, and already has good width to her chest. Coat already coming in nicely. Her movement was a joy to watch.

2nd Mr. G.W. Farmer  SANGRIA MOON DANCE

A square, small B/W pup correct in all departments, just needs to strengthen her rear movement.

Puppy Bitch 2 (0abs)

1st Mrs. T & Mr. A Quinn  SHARLARNA EYE CANDY

A most promising B/W puppy who was really nicely marked. She had a lovely head, with large, open nostrils and ashort well cushioned muzzle. Her long, profuse coat was of a silky texture.

Her movement was her strength, she had good reach and elevation as she moved so well around the ring. Reserve CC.

2nd Miss L. Bradley SHARLARNA VIVACIOUS

A lighter marked bitch who also moved well. She held a level topline and carried her neck really proudly. She had a very pretty head, large nose and open nostrils.

1st Mrs. S.E. Steele  THREADGOLD STAR STRUCK J.W.

A pleasing type of bitch with a well marked silky coat. Correct head and eyes with adequate neck and width to her chest. She held a level topline on the move. She had strong rear movement.

2nd Miss. P.E.Martin  SHARLARNA BISH BASH BOSH

A lovely type of bitch, with a very attractive head, large wide open nostrils. She had a wide chest, quality B/W coat of the correct texture. This bitch also had the required hare feet and feathering to the back of her hindquarters.

1st Mrs. L. Crane  CRANVARL’S MACEY GREY  J.W.

A very nice, ultra sound R/W bitch. She has real attitude and stands four square. She has such a pretty head and a lovely temperament. Large dark eyes set well apart. Her neck is of moderate length, carried proudly. She has small V shaped ears set wide apart which are well feathered. Her movement was a joy to watch.

2nd Mrs. J.A. Russell  ALNESAIRE SUKARAFUBUKI

Another R/W who was rather overweight and appeared long in the back.

A delightful B/W bitch who ticked most of the boxes according to the standard. Elegant on the move, compact and with a profuse coat. A small, neat size. Square and compactly built, this bitch was wide in chest and held a level topline at all times. Her movement was first class.

2nd Mrs.C & Mrs. S. Reeves- Sargant & Diment  SHARLARNA MIDNIGHT AT ALSTELLA

A smart B/W bitch in excellent coat who held a level topline on the move. She had stylish movement with good reach and elevation. Her profuse coat was of a silky texture. She had good width to her chest.

This B/W bitch fits every part of the standard so well. Super size, well bodied and is dainty and so elegant on the move. She is compact and with a profuse coat. You can tell she enjoys every moment in the ring by her attitude to her owners, her ring presence and her wonderfully sound movement which won her the day. She has large, dark eyes set far apart and shows the correct amount of white in the inner corners. Her neck is carried proudly and leads into a level topline. The tail is set high and is profusely feathered. Here I found my CC winner, Best of Breed and later Toy Group 2. Congratulations.

A sable and white bitch also 10 year old. Nice type of bitch but was a little reluctant to keep her tail up.
